Optical Fiber Testing

Once all the fiber cables are installed and terminated, there is a requirement for Optical Fiber Testing for checking the transmission through them. For every system of fiber optic cable, its transmission continuity and end-to-end loss has to be inspected. We have all the instruments and device in our range for testing optical transmission systems, fiber attenuation and continuous optical signals. All are highly accurate in their measurements with automatic turn- off time that can be set by the operator. There are integrated audio alarms for low battery in order to ensure safety of the cables and device.

SAT 8C Cable Fault Locator

SAT-8C Cable Fault Locator adopts international advanced electronic measurement technology, which is a comprehensive instrument that integrates with ATDR, resistance meter, megohmmeter and automatic bridge. It is applicable for localization of break, cross, poor electric insulation and other faults of various telephone cables, high-frequency cables and coaxial cables. It is a capable for the line maintenance and construction in telecom industry.

  • Pulse reflection and intelligent bridge testing method with full-automatic and manual testing functions.
  • Testing for insulation resistance and loop resistance. Insulation reach up to 50 MΩ.
  • Automatically judge the line state: break, cross, poor electric insulation and the high voltage.

SAT-18C Palm OTDR is a handheld and light device, widely used in optical communication testing work. Integrated with an advanced anti-reflective TFT LCD that can be clearly seen, the testing device has options for manual test, auto test and real time test. It can also generate speed curve analysis with multiple curves comparison. For transferring of data to other systems, there is a USB and SD card interface. Built- in lithium battery in the device can work up to 10 hours with special indication for battery status. When it comes to testing, the device has the capability of testing a dynamic range from 26dB to 35dB at 1310/1550nm.

SAT-3E optical laser source is the most demanded device in telecom sector for testing the optical transmission system and fiber attenuation. Ensures highly accurate measurements, the device has excellent sensitivity towards transmissions. For low battery indication, there is an alarm for warning. The testing laser is integrated with a LCD display and new-type conductive rubber switch that is best suited for different operation environments. There are options of multi wavelengths with up to four wavelengths on two ports. One can easily set the automatic power-off time in the range of 30 to 90 mins for safe performance.

SAT-4E optical power meter has its usage in telecom sector for testing continuous optical signals. It has the function for identifying and measuring multi wavelength with auto frequency of 270HZ, 1 kHz and 2 kHz. It is integrated with RS232 interface from which the data can be loaded to PC for further analysis and evaluation. In this power meter device, the automatic turn- off time can be easily set and the facility of reset. One has the option for setting the serial number in instrument for various self-calibration functions. A PC can be connected with the device for real-time data monitoring.
